Style with Substance
I'm David, a former senior priest now an Independent Celebrant who offers a balance of the sacred and the secular, traditional and personal with a warmth and lightness of touch that couples really enjoy.
I specialise in working with couples who have embraced Oscar Wilde’s dictum that marriage second time around is “the triumph of hope over experience”. I help you draw on the wisdom of your experience and create a ceremony that gives voice to your hope. I also love to work with couples who want to blend two different attitudes to spirituality so that neither dominates.
The whole journey into and through marriage is hugely important. I like to work with couples to understand their vision for their relationship, the values upon which their relationship is founded and their shared sense of purpose in their lives. This helps me to create a ceremony that is supportive of their inner journey and reflects the ‘soul’ of their relationship.
Based in the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury in Southern England, I am able to travel worldwide.
I can also act as a warm and engaging Master of Ceremonies to ensure that the whole day flows well.

Cost: All my ceremonies are unique and therefore the fee is negotiated with you as well as any additional travel or accommodation expenses at the point of commission so that there are no hidden costs.
Master of Ceremonies
A Master of Ceremonies can be a really useful addition to your day. They will martial your guests for the ceremony and ensure that all the right announcements are made throughout the day, liaising with the venue to secure the smooth running of the Reception and introducing the speeches. Using your celebrant in this role is ideal as it means that everything will be completely seamless.
Like my ceremonies, I perform this task with authority and a lightness of touch.
